Today began week two of the couch to 5k programme. Or it should have done.
Was I too lazy? No.
Was I distracted by other things? No.
Was my running gear in the wash? No.
I forgot it was Sunday. Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? I actually thought earlier today that I’d like to go running but didn’t want to disrupt the plan as written this early in case it caused me to injure myself (I have trouble telling if I’ve done too much for my body). It wasn’t until I turned on the telly and the date appeared at the top that it clicked.
So the moral of today: I am working too hard. I need to put the books down and perhaps see a bit of the outside world. This can’t be healthy.
